Logistics Specialist A

Amentum is hiring a Logistics Specialist A for their Supply & Logistics Department in Waimea, HI. Responsibilities include managing inventory, utilizing databases for material handling, maintaining warehouses, conducting quality control, and providing administrative support. Candidates should have a high school diploma, five years of logistics experience, and the ability to obtain a Secret US Government Clearance. The position requires physical lifting and is not remote.
Amentum is seeking a Logistics Specialist A for a position on Kauai, HI. Supporting the Supply & Logistics Department. Under minimum supervision, the individual will perform a variety of functions and tasks related to the Supply and Logistics Department at PMRF and PMRF off-site locations, which include Makaha Ridge, Port Allen and Koke’e.

Responsibilities

Specific assignments and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following areas:
• Receive, issue, inventory and stock material at all PMRF warehouse locations utilizing current database system.
• Utilize MAXIMO database and print issue/receipt tags to release materials to requestor.
• Perform property inventory control and warehouse functions In Accordance With (IAW) policies and procedures.
• Maintain all supply warehouses and ensure a clean and orderly work environment.
• Provide clerical and administrative tasks within the Supply and Logistics Department
• Complete all technical research on the procurement of assets.
• MILSTRIP data research and One Touch data inputs, processes and procedures.
• Knowledge of FED LOG.
• Conducts inventories as required for all warehouse to include property accounts.
• Performs quality control inspections on property/tool accounts.
• Coordinate and prepare monthly reports IAW established formats, schedules and deadlines.
• Performs all tasks IAW verbal and written instructions to the established standards.
• Assist in other areas of supply as required by cross utilization.
• In additions to the above, performs other tasks as directed by the supervisor and manager.

Additional Responsibilities
• Lifting, pushing/pulling 25-50 lbs.
• Work positions requirements: walking, standing, work requiring repeated stooping.
• Customer contact, confined work area, office laboratory, field assignment, and inclement weather.

Minimum Qualifications
• High School or equivalent.
• Five Years of Logistic Supply and customer service background.
• Experience in Microsoft Office.
• Experience on Inventory management and accountability
• Knowledge on basic warehouse layout and storage plan
• General shipping and receiving knowledge for receipt of property.
• Must be self-motivated and be able to work independently.
• Must work well with co-workers and customers.
• Must be capable of operating material handling equipment (MHE)

Security Clearance

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance. Applicants selected either must currently possess a Secret clearance or will be subject to a US Government Security Investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain clearance prior to commencement of employment and maintain a security clearance for access to classified information or Closed/Restricted Areas throughout duration of employment.

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $37.82 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
