Job Description
Amazon is seeking a Logistics Operations Analyst for Project Kuiper in Redmond, WA. This role involves monitoring transportation activities, performing logistics processes, and ensuring adherence to SOPs. Candidates must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents and have at least 1 year of relevant experience. The position requires on-site work in a rotational shift schedule, with a starting pay of up to $32/hour and benefits.
Description
Project Kuiper is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Its mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet to customers and communities around the world, and we’ve designed the system with the capacity, flexibility, and performance to serve a wide range of customers, from individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity.
Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Candidates must be 18 years or older with the ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines.
The starting pay for this role in Washington State is up to $32/hour and employees are eligible for incremental raises based on tenure. Key job responsibilities
• Monitor defined transportation activities or shipping/receiving/warehousing/inventory and related activities and ensures they are following defined SOPs
• Perform logistics processes involving booking, track/trace, import/export commercial invoices/packing lists and related logistics functions
• Accurately track freight forwarding and other automated system data and milestone activity within service provider platforms
• Document defined metrics and data related to just-in-time and next flight out urgent shipments in a global logistics environment
• Identify transportation exceptions and follow defined escalation/notification processes to support Kuiper business teams
• Expeditiously gather situation information and data to effectively communicate status of cargo during critical and/or emergency transportation events or activities
• Perform work on site daily in a rotational shift configuration which may include day, evening, night, weekend and holidays, as business needs require
• Perform audit processes to ensure data accuracy in all program dashboards and metrics
• Represent Kuiper Transportation with internal and external 3PL and Amazon partners and establish proactive communication to inform stakeholders of status of Kuiper shipments
• Work in partnership with internal and external logistics teams while providing excellent customer service in a professional business environment
• Respond with business urgency to telephone, e-mail and automated requests and follow-up on open items requiring action
• Review SOPs and transportation maps and identify any anomaly or deviation from defined processes or routes
• Utilize telephonic and/or automated systems to communicate with transportation providers and others
• Read and comprehend basic Standard Operations Procedures and geographical maps
Basic Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years in supply chain, operations, freight desk or logistics control tower or related experience
• 2+ years working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
• With or without reasonable accommodations, stand/sit for up to 8-10 hours (with breaks), and able to frequently perform work onsite 100% (not remote eligible)
Preferred Qualifications
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Experience with a TMS/SAP or other automated logistics program or software and/or manual shipment tracking methodology
• Experience working proactively and independently
• Prioritize multiple tasks and assignments effectively

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $49,920/year in our lowest geographic market up to $66,560/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
