Responsibilities
• Manage logistics operations for Fluence deliveries in the APAC region, including development of logistics solutions, planning, scheduling, and cost control of all relevant shipping activities.
• Facilitate use of required planning and forecasting tools to simplify overall logistics processes, and to communicate with Logistics Service Providers.
• Develop and implement regional logistics strategy to support business objectives for safety, quality, delivery and cost objectives.
• Drive digitalization and automation initiatives for the regional function, in alignment with global team.
• Serve as the regional subject matter expert for operational logistics best practices.
• Work cross-functionally across Supply Chain Operations, Procurement, Project Management, Sales, Finance, and other teams to develop and execute on Fluence strategy in a deliberate way that maximizes the customer outcomes.
• Lead projects related to cost out, logistics process improvements, and other business initiatives.
• Mentor and develop a team, to help improve in-depth logistic knowledge of the organization.Requirements
• You have a bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of experience in the field of logistics, managing teams and operations.
• You are self-motivated; able to work both independently to complete tasks and respond to requests, as well as collaborating with others to utilize resources and knowledge of others in identifying quality solutions.
• You can both work on tactical and operational topics with the same passion and drive.
• You have experience with project management methods and practices, and you are able to apply those to logistics.
• You can analyze situations holistically, draw the conflict’s big picture by clarifying the positions of the different stakeholders and act as a facilitator.
• Establishes a constructive working atmosphere in conflict situations.
• You demonstrate leadership skills and ability to coach a team.
• You have experience in the field of dangerous goods handling and shipping.
• You enjoy working in an international, fast-pace and dynamic environment.
• Experience with project logistics, dangerous gods, and break-bulk shipments is a plus.
• Experience working with large freight forwarder and project logistics is a plus.
