Job Description

Metro Supply Chain is seeking a Logistics Coordinator-Transport in Brampton, ON. The role involves managing shipments, maintaining relationships with stakeholders, scheduling carrier appointments, and processing customer orders. Candidates should have 2-5 years of relevant experience and strong communication skills. Reporting to the Transportation Manager, the Logistics Coordinator-Transport is responsible to provide end to end successful pick-up and delivery of each shipment.
• Develops and maintains positive relationships with the Provinces, Licensed Producers, Metro Cross dock operations and Transportation Service Providers.
• Acts as a first point of contact for the customer and responds to customer inquiries and concerns.
• Schedules outbound and inbound carrier appointments by selecting the most service appropriate cost and time efficient mode.
• Receives and process customer orders.
• Perform additional duties assigned by leadership.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
• Completion of secondary school diploma preferred or the equivalent in combination of education and experience.
• College diploma in administrative studies is an asset.
• Two (2) to five (5) years’ experience working in a similar role.

CORE COMPETENCIES:
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Service oriented with strong customer service skills and commitment to quality of work.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft office products - Excel, Word and Email.
