Local Class A Driver

Overview
D&M Transportation in Etters, PA is seeking 2 reliable Local Drivers to join our team. The ideal candidates will be responsible for transporting freight safely and efficiently within designated routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and customer service, ensuring that all deliveries are made on time and in good condition.

Pay

Drivers start at 30.00 per hour straight time

Shift available

1 drivers for Monday thru Friday Start time between 0300-0600 start

Duties
• Operate various types of commercial vehicles, including roll-off trucks, tankers, dump trucks, and tractor-trailers.
• Load and unload freight as necessary, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
• Follow designated routes and schedules for timely deliveries.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents that occur during transport.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any potential issues.
• Adhere to all local traffic laws and company policies while driving.

Requirements
• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL-A) with 2 years experience with vehicle being operated.
• Proven experience in route driving or truck driving is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of local roads and traffic patterns.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with dispatchers and customers.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening as required by company policy.
