Job Description
CultivaHR is seeking a Licensed Architect for building design in Nampa, ID. The role involves overseeing architectural designs for multifamily and hospitality projects, providing technical guidance, ensuring quality assurance, mentoring junior staff, and maintaining client relationships. Candidates must have a BArch degree, be a licensed architect with 5+ years of experience, and be proficient in Revit and Bluebeam. This position requires in-office work to foster collaboration.
Seeking a Licensed Architect with building design experience for a firm that works with clients across the United States to combat the affordable housing crisis by reimagining construction with world-class innovation. They define success by constructability and achieve it through highly coordinated BIM models and a carefully executed quality control plan.
This positionrequires in-office work at our Nampa, Idaho location, fostering collaborationand team integration.
As a Licensed Architect, you will be a key player in driving the design and execution of complexbuilding projects. Your responsibilities will include:
Detailed Building Design: Perform andoversee the design of architectural elements for multifamily and hospitalityprojects, focusing on modular construction and ensuring that all aspects meetdesign intent and client expectations.
Technical Guidance and Training: Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff, ensuring adherence toarchitectural design standards and quality control procedures throughout thedesign process.
Quality Assurance: Ensure thatarchitectural designs comply with federal, state, and local codes, maintaininga high standard of quality control from concept through construction.
Mentorship and Development: Mentorjunior architects and contribute to their professional growth, helping to builda strong and capable design team.
Client Relationships: Cultivate andmaintain relationships with clients, contributing to the firm's reputation forexcellence in architectural design and modular construction.
RequirementsMinimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor of Science inArchitecture (BArch) from an NAABaccredited university.
Certification: Licensed Architect withan active registration.
Experience: o 5+ years ofbuilding design experience. o Proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam.
o Experience filling the role of project architect onmultiple concurrent projects.
Code Knowledge: Strong understanding ofindustry codes, including the
InternationalBuilding Code (IBC), Americans with Disabilities Act
(ADA), NationalFire Protection Association (NFPA), California Building Code (CBC),International Energy Conservation Code (IECC), and California Energy Code(CEC).
Preferred Qualifications
Modular Construction: Experience withmodular construction.
Team Management: Experience managingtwo or more project team members.
Construction Administration: Experiencereviewing submittals and responding to construction administration requests forinformation.
Sustainable Design: Knowledge orcertification in sustainable design practices, particularly relevant toCalifornia regulations and standards, including LEED, Passive House, CaliforniaEnergy Code, and CalGreen.
Skills and Abilities
Project Experience: Comprehensiveknowledge and multi-discipline experience in planning, designing, andconstructing large-scale projects.
Leadership and Communication: Strongself-leadership and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability toeffectively interact with team members at all levels.
Adaptability: Ability to be a flexibleteam player and adapt to changing project requirements.
