#Cal Energy is seeking a Legislative Analyst to join our Office of Governmental and International Affairs!

This integral role will be responsible for independently preparing analyses of legislation affecting the Commission; researching and responding to requests for information from Commission and legislative staff; and preparing testimony and correspondence related to the Commission. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of and interest in the States’ energy policies and goals, the legislative process, and legislative analysis. If you have exceptional communication skills and are confident in collaborating and consulting with all levels of an organization, we would love to hear from you!

We will consider candidates at both the Associate Governmental Program Analyst and Staff Services Analyst level for this job opportunity.

️Salary Range: $5,855.00 - $7,549.00 per month and full benefits!

️ This position provides hybrid telework opportunities. You must be relocated to California and provide your in-state address prior to your start date.

Qualifications:

The successful applicant should have excellent verbal, writing and critical thinking skills; ability to complete complex tasks with minimal supervision and within specified time frames; skill in clearly and concisely communicating sensitive and complex information to a lay audience; and ability to coordinate disparate information from multiple sources into a cohesive whole. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of and interest in the States’ energy policies and goals, the legislative process, and legislative analysis.
