Job Description

North Metropolitan TAFE is seeking a Lecturer in Surveying for a 24-month appointment at their East Perth & Midland campuses. The role involves teaching, mentoring, and assessing students in Surveying or Mine Surveying. No prior lecturing experience is required, but candidates should have industry knowledge. $93,426 – $120,651 pa, LGA – Grade 1-9

We are establishing a 24 month appointment pool for vacancies that may arise. We may offer permanent, fixed term, full time, part time or casual appointments, with the possibility of a further term and/or permanency.

East Perth & Midland Campus, as we are a multi-campus institution you may be required to work from more than one campus

About the Role

No prior lecturing experience or training qualifications required. We are looking for people who have current industry knowledge and experience, and would enjoy sharing their expertise to equip those aspiring to enter that industry. We’ll help you with the rest and even provide support and assistance for obtaining your Training and Assessment qualification.

We are currently seeking candidates with experience and expertise in Surveying or Mine Surveying to plan, develop and deliver training and assessment to students in this study area.

The lecturer’s primary role is to teach, facilitate learning, assess and mentor students in accordance with relevant curriculum and/or training package requirements. Lecturers also undertake Professional Activities and Activities Related to Delivery. In order to maintain quality educational services, lecturers are required to keep abreast of technological and other developments in their field through professional development to provide up-to-date information and advice to the College and industry, where appropriate.
