About the position

The University of Hawaii's Department of Atmospheric Sciences is seeking a part-time lecturer for the Fall 2024 semester. This position is non-tenure and temporary, contingent upon student enrollment and the availability of funding. The lecturer will be responsible for teaching four sections of the undergraduate laboratory course ATMO 101L, which focuses on Introduction to Weather and Climate Lab. The role involves collaboration with current Teaching Assistants to ensure the course syllabi are maintained and amended as necessary. Additionally, the lecturer will mentor and assist students enrolled in the course, providing guidance and support to enhance their learning experience. Timely completion of grading is also a critical responsibility of this position.

Responsibilities
• Teach four sections of the undergraduate laboratory course ATMO 101L Introduction to Weather and Climate Lab.

• Work with current Department of Atmospheric Sciences Teaching Assistants to maintain/amend course syllabi as needed.

Requirements
• Master's degree in Atmospheric Science, Meteorology, or a related field.
