Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Solar Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems and a passion for renewable energy. As a Solar Technician, you will lead roof-mounted installations and perform maintenance and repair of solar panel systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and effectively. This role requires technical expertise and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members on various projects.

Responsibilities
• Install solar panel systems on residential properties according to project specifications.
• Installation of backup Generators
• Install battery systems
• Conduct routine maintenance checks on installed solar systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and repair any issues related to solar panel systems, including electrical components.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements and create material lists for a successful installation.
• Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment safely and effectively during installations and repairs.
• Adhere to National Electrical Code (NEC) standards throughout all work processes.
• Operate forklifts and other machinery to transport materials on job sites.
• Collaborate with other technicians and contractors to complete projects in a timely manner.

Requirements
• Proven experience as an electrician or in a related field; experience as a commercial electrician is preferred.
• Strong understanding of low-voltage and high-voltage electrical systems.
• Familiarity with NEC standards and regulations is essential.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
• Proficient in using hand tools, DMM, power tools, and equipment necessary for installation tasks.
• Forklift certification is a plus; willingness to obtain certification if not already held.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
• Proficient with computer applications, basic design tools, site surveys
• Must have 3-4 years in Solar installation in combination with electrical trades.
• Valid NM Drivers license
