Job Description

Cannon Solar is hiring a Lead Solar Installer in Seattle, WA. The role involves installing solar energy systems on residential and commercial properties, reading blueprints, and collaborating with electricians. Candidates should have experience in construction or electrical work, be familiar with power tools, and possess strong problem-solving skills. This full-time position offers a pay range of $28.00 - $32.00 per hour and requires working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Solar Installer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation of solar energy systems on residential and commercial properties. As a Solar Installer, you will work closely with other team members to ensure that installations are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with industry standards. Your expertise in power tools, blueprint reading, and electrical systems will be essential to the success of our projects.

Duties
• Install solar panels and related equipment on rooftops and ground-mounted systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation.
• Utilize power tools and hand tools for the assembly and installation of solar fixtures.
• Collaborate with electricians to connect solar systems to high voltage electrical systems in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Conduct site assessments to determine optimal placement of solar panels.
• Maintain a clean and organized construction site while adhering to safety protocols.
• Troubleshoot any issues that arise during installation or testing phases.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client questions or concerns during the installation process.

Requirements
• Proven experience in construction or electrical work is preferred.
• Familiarity with power tools, hand tools, and their safe operation.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documents accurately.
• Knowledge of high voltage systems and adherence to NEC standards is a plus.
• Experience in fixture installation within a construction site environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
