• RESPONSIBILITIES – Job Summary Crew Leaders are the face of SES on the jobsite. They lead the crews that build our high-quality solar PV systems across the DMV area. The Crew Leader is responsible for safely executing all aspects of solar construction in the field, including safety setup, material loading, racking & module installation, conduit, wiring, and groundwork. They are the boots-on-the-ground decision maker of SES installations and represent the company’s mission, vision, and values with other trades, general contractors, clients, homeowners, and the general public, always making sure that the company is represented in a professional and courteous light. They must possess a strong background in construction and demonstrate excellent leadership abilities.
• ACTIVITY – General Duties Time Allocation: ~50% Abide by and enforce all government and company safety regulations to maintain a secure work environment Makes decisions to ensure the welfare of crew members and to maintain quality work Facilitate daily jobsite safety meetings with crew Lead construction crews on-site to ensure tasks are completed according to project timelines Inspect safety equipment daily; report any defects to Supervisor immediately Maintain all company-issued equipment in good working condition Utilize company software and digital applications for project management and documentation Model safe and professional behavior at all times Fill out daily report of activities and job progress Maintain clean, organized jobsite and work truck Job Title: Crew Leader Department: Installation Reports to: Operations Manager JOB DEFINITION Solar Installer Page 2 of 3 5/1/2024
• ACTIVITY – Construction Duties Time Allocation: ~50% Install racking systems per manufacturer’s specifications and SES plans on a variety of roof types and slopes Install DC and AC equipment per plans, local codes, and SES best practices Conduct quality control inspections to guarantee work meets specifications Communicate and coordinate with contractors and/or homeowners on site Educate junior crew members with hands-on training Ensure systems are built neatly and with the ability to last 25 years Commission systems, including Enphase and SolarEdge Test system components while system is operational Use hand and power tools safely and effectively Qualifications 3-5 years of solar construction experience 1-3 years in a people leadership position OSHA 30 certification First Aid & CPR certification Must be able to work in the US Must pass pre-employment background check Must pass pre-employment drug screening Must have a valid driver’s license with clean MVR to operate company vehicles Skill Requirements Advanced knowledge of federal construction safety regulations Advanced knowledge of residential or commercial PV design and components Knowledge of basic trades Ability to read, understand, and convey blueprints, wiring schematics, and electrical instructions Ability to make field changes and communicate with Operations team on project issues Ability to receive and distribute instructions Ability to drive a work truck safely in high-traffic conditions Good problem-solving skills

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.50 - $28.50 per hour
