ENERCON is seeking a Lead Environmental Licensing Expert to join their Nuclear Services Group in Oklahoma City, OK, or other specified locations. The role involves engaging with regulatory agencies, conducting environmental assessments, and leading licensing projects. Candidates should have a relevant degree and at least 6 years of experience. The position requires some fieldwork but primarily involves office work, with travel about 10% of the time.
Overview
Join our dynamic Nuclear Services Group as a Lead Environmental Licensing Expert. In this pivotal role, you'll leverage your extensive experience to engage with regulatory agencies and stakeholders, conduct thorough data collection during site assessments, and remain informed on evolving environmental regulations. You'll have the chance to lead environmental analyses that support nuclear environmental licensing projects across the country. This position is based in one of the following locations:
• Kennesaw, GA (Suburb of Atlanta)
• Oklahoma City, OK
• Naperville, IL (Suburb of Chicago)
• Overland Park, KS
• Ft. Worth, TX
• Plano, TX (Suburb of Dallas)
• This position may be based in additional office locations for the right candidate
Responsibilities
As a Lead Environmental Licensing Expert, your responsibilities will encompass:
• Environmental Impact Assessment & Compliance: Conduct in-depth environmental reviews to evaluate the potential impact of proposed nuclear facilities on natural resources, preparing comprehensive reports that align with NRC regulations, the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), and other pertinent guidelines. Play a crucial role in supporting environmental licensing applications while keeping abreast of relevant regulations and best practices.
• Data Collection & Site Evaluation: Engage in site visits to gather vital environmental data and evaluate potential impacts. Contribute to the development of technical content, including text, figures, and tables for environmental reports and site feasibility assessments.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Communication: Foster effective communication with regulatory agencies, stakeholders, and the public to address environmental concerns. Create informative presentations and reports that convey complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Fieldwork & Environmental Protection: Support the development and implementation of measures to protect the environment through effective fieldwork.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Ecology, Biology, Geology, or a related field.
• A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in environmental consulting, nuclear power, or a related sector.
• Working knowledge of essential environmental regulations (NEPA, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, etc.).
• Experience collaborating with federal or state regulatory agencies.
• Expertise in developing technical and environmental reports, along with supporting regulatory reviews.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to travel/work in the field approximately 10% of the time, primarily for 3-4 day trips; office work constitutes about 90% of this role.
Pay Range
USD $96,000.00 - USD $148,000.00 /Yr.

While the salary range represents typical compensation for this role based on level and location, actual pay will be determined by experience, skills, and education.
