Intro

As an LCA Consultant at carbmee, you sit at the frontier of product-level carbon intelligence. Life Cycle Assessment is the methodological backbone of how enterprises understand the true environmental cost of what they make, source, and sell. carbmee EIS™ is the platform building a new global standard for doing it at industrial scale – and you are the person who makes it real for our customers.

You will work directly with sustainability leads, R&D engineers, and procurement teams at some of the world’s most complex industrial enterprises, helping them move from slow, spreadsheet-based LCA processes to granular, AI-powered product carbon footprints. You combine deep methodological expertise with the ability to translate it into a live software environment – and into clear business decisions.
Your tasks
• Lead end-to-end LCA engagements for enterprise customers – from project scoping and data collection strategies through to final results, interpretation, and reduction roadmap.
• Deploy and configure carbmee EIS™ to automate and scale LCA workflows, including product carbon footprint (PCF) calculations, Scope 3 supply chain data collection, and activity-based modelling.
• Engage directly with customer sustainability, R&D, and procurement teams to understand their product portfolios, data landscapes, and reporting requirements, and design the right LCA approach for their context.
• Support customers in building compliance-ready product footprints for CBAM, CSRD, ISO 14067, and EU Battery Regulation requirements.
• Translate LCA results into clear, executive-ready narratives and actionable decarbonization recommendations that drive real business decisions.
• Troubleshoot methodological challenges on the fly – allocation decisions, data gaps, system boundary questions – and resolve them pragmatically.
• Feed LCA methodology learnings back to carbmee’s product team, ensuring the EIS™ platform stays at the cutting edge of carbon accounting best practice.
Customer Value
• Accelerate customers’ shift from manual, project-by-project LCA to automated, scalable product carbon foot printing – reducing calculation time by orders of magnitude.
• Enable regulatory compliance by building footprints that meet CBAM, CSRD, and other EU requirements – protecting customers from regulatory and commercial risk.
• Translate complex lifecycle science into clear reduction priorities, helping customers make informed investment decisions in sustainable sourcing, R&D, and process improvement.
• Build deep methodological credibility with customer sustainability and engineering teams, positioning carbmee as their long-term partner for product decarbonization.
• You are the expert that turns carbmee’s platform into a genuine competitive advantage for your customers.
Your profile
• Solid grounding in LCA methodology – ISO 14040/14044, GHG Protocol Product Standard, Product Environmental Footprint (PEF), or similar.
• Hands-on experience with LCA databases and tools such as ecoinvent, Sima Pro, GaBi, or OpenLCA.
• We hire across all levels – from recent MSc graduates with strong academic LCA foundations to senior practitioners with years of consulting or industry experience.
• Understanding of EU sustainability regulation – CSRD, CBAM, EU Battery Regulation, or ISO 14067 – is a strong plus.
• Ability to translate technical and scientific complexity into clear, compelling communication for non-specialist audiences.
• Comfort operating in a fast-moving software environment and genuine enthusiasm for how AI can transform traditional sustainability work.
• Degree in Environmental Engineering, Industrial Ecology, Chemical Engineering, Sustainability Science, or a related field.
• Fluency in English;
German is a plus.
• Passion for sustainability – excited to help the world’s largest companies get serious about their product emissions.
• Based in Berlin or Munich.
Benefits
• Unique & Powerful Mission –join a fast-growing and ambitious tech company that is shaping the future of carbon management and fighting climate change
• Compensation & Rewards –a steep learning curve and ownership from day one. We offer an attractive compensation package, including virtual stock options
• Health & Wellbeing –Urban…
