Landscaping Team Leader

Up to £36k per year (depending on skills and experience)

Usually 7.30 – 6pm (with 1 hour lunch), with some flexibility

Based in Cuxton, Rochester, and working on customer sites across the southeast

We’re a small but fast-growing company with high ambitions and an honest, open and supportive culture. We’re on a mission to transform outdoor spaces with a focus on re-wilding and sustainable principles, as well as creating and maintaining more traditional garden designs.

What we’re looking for

A highly skilled and experienced landscaper who’s passionate about sustainability and can:
• Lead, mentor and develop a small landscaping team, working on projects across the south east, carrying out a wide variety of landscaping tasks including hardscaping, soft scaping, paving, decking, and fencing installations and assisting with site preparation, excavating and grading when required.
• Work collaboratively with the design team to bring garden designs to life, working to detailed drawings and delivering projects to the highest standards and client specifications.
• Work to all company standards around professional presentation and health and safety requirements, including cleaning, maintaining and safely operating a range of landscaping equipment and keeping sites and vehicles clean, tidy and safe.
• Follow sustainable landscaping practices, including the use of eco-friendly materials, native plantings, and water-efficient irrigation systems.

What you’ll need
• ·Extensive experience in landscaping or a related construction field, and the ability to lead projects from start to finish, while ensuring safety, quality and efficiency.
• Passion and willingness to share your knowledge and experience with less experienced team members, and the ability to inspire and encourage them to develop and succeed in the landscaping field.
• Ability to perform all manual tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy loads and the safe operation of power tools and hand tools.
• A positive, can-do attitude, with a strong work ethic, great attention to detail and willingness to work outdoors in all weathers.
• Excellent customer service and general communication skills.
• A great team player, willing to go the extra mile to get the job done and to support colleagues.
• Good understanding of, and interest in, sustainability and eco-friendly landscaping practices .
• Some understanding of plant care and maintenance techniques.
• A full UK driver’s licence and the ability to drive small commercial vehicles, preferably with a trailer.
• We'd love it if you already had a CSCS card but it's not essential.
