Job Description

Coulee Region Ecoscapes LLC is seeking a Landscape Technician in La Crosse, WI. This role involves physically demanding outdoor work, including installing native gardens, patios, and trails, while promoting ecological sustainability. As a landscape technician for Coulee Region Ecoscapes LLC, you will often work with a team of other dedicated technicians installing commercial and residential landscaping, mostly in the greater La Crosse region. You will be a part of a positive work culture that emphasizes safety and work-life balance. As one of our crew members, you will install native pollinator gardens, rain gardens, food forests and edible landscapes. You might construct patios, walkways, fences and walls with an emphasis on using locally sourced stone and other materials. You may even have the opportunity to build hiking trails or construct natural playscapes for children. The work is physically demanding and the weather can be uncomfortable at times, but you will feel a sense of satisfaction and accomplishment when you step back at the end of the day and see that you helped create something that is not only beautiful but makes the world a better place to live in.

Responsibilities and Requirements:
• Perform physically demanding labor, sometimes lifting over 50 lbs or performing repetitive movements
• Work outside, at times in uncomfortable weather conditions
• Contribute to a positive and fun yet hard working company culture
• Work as a team under the leadership of one of our crew leaders
• Work individually and be self-directed on larger worksites
• Be flexible when the weather dictates when we can and can’t work
• Help fulfill the company mission of ecological sustainability and making our community a better place to live.

Recommended skills (these are not necessary but pay is based on experience):
• Previous landscaping or construction experience is ideal, however we do train on the job.
• Power tool operation
• Heavy equipment operation
• Truck and trailer hauling
• Construction/jobsite experience
• Customer service

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal

Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
