Permaculture Artisans is an award-winning landscape contractor that specializes in ecological and regenerative landscaping. We design, build and maintain landscapes, farms, and homesteads that conserve and harvest water, produce food, provide habitat, and restore ecosystems. We work on projects at all scales, from broadacre farms and ranches to backyard landscapes. We are growing and are currently hiring for the following positions:
LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN, FULL TIME
We are looking to hire 1-2 Landscape Maintenance Technician to help manage a variety of gardens and landscapes, from backyards to broad acreage. This is a full-time, year-round position, with a minimum of a one-year commitment. This is a unique opportunity to develop your skills as a gardener and land manager and this position has the possibility for growth in our expanding maintenance division.
SOME OF THE PRIMARY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
● English language proficiency
● Strong plant identification skills
● Strong horticultural knowledge and experience (at least 2-3 years working in landscaping or a related field)
● Eye for detail
● Eye for landscape aesthetics
● Knowledge of North Bay habitat and and ecology
● Experience troubleshooting and maintaining irrigation systems
● Experience growing fruit and vegetables
● Knowledge of organic pest and disease management
● Knowledge of organic soil fertility management
● The ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform strenuous labor 5 days a week is a must

● Ability to effectively understand and communicate with the manager, foreman, and fellow crew members
● Dependable, team players who are able to follow safety guidelines
● Valid CA Driver License and working vehicle
