Job Description

DAI is seeking a Land Use and Climate Change Advisor in Bethesda, MD. Candidates should have a post-graduate degree or equivalent experience in relevant fields, knowledge of USAID's strategic planning for sustainable landscapes, and strong organizational and analytical skills. Fluency in English and Spanish is required, along with familiarity with Paraguayan laws and political contexts related to emission reduction.
Required Skills and Qualifications
• Post-graduate degree qualifications or equivalent experience in research and analysis in animal science, rangeland management, climate science, nature-based solutions, environmental science, ecology, or a related field.
• Knowledge of USAID's strategic planning process, particularly related to sustainable landscapes.
• Exceptional organizational, analytical, writing, and presentation skills.
• Fluency in English and Spanish.
• Familiarity with Paraguayan laws and planning.
• Familiarity with the political feasibility and conflict risks of emission reduction opportunities in Paraguay.
