Position: Land Planner

Location: Tempe, Arizona​

About the Role: Are you a creative dynamo passionate about shaping vibrant communities through thoughtful land planning and design? At ABLA, you'll collaborate with our dynamic planning and design team to develop innovative, sustainable, and impactful land development projects. Your role will involve preparing preliminary site plans, feasibility studies, and creating compelling presentations using AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and InDesign), and Microsoft Office. You'll actively tackle project challenges such as zoning compliance, topographical considerations, drainage solutions, and community integration, ensuring each project exceeds municipal standards and aligns with ABLA's high expectations.

Your Impact:
• Innovative Planning: Collaborate on land planning projects, entitlement documents, feasibility studies, master plans, and strategic frameworks.
• Creative Documentation: Craft engaging presentation materials and comprehensive project documents using AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and InDesign), and Microsoft Office.
• Problem Solver: Analyze site conditions for suitability, addressing issues such as zoning, municipal compliance, environmental impact, and community integration.
• Engaged Communicator: Clearly convey design and planning concepts through compelling narratives and visual storytelling, coordinating closely with internal teams and external partners.

What You Bring:
• Detail Dynamo: Exceptional organizational abilities, managing multiple projects seamlessly.
• Proactive Professional: Comfortable working independently yet confident in seeking collaboration and mentorship when needed.
• Tech Adept: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office; experience with SketchUp, Lumion, or Land F/X is a plus.
• Experience & Education: Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Urban Planning, or related discipline. 2-4 years of relevant industry experience, ideal for individuals eager to build a rewarding career.
• Passionate Contributor: An inherent curiosity and enthusiasm for land planning, landscape architecture, and community-driven development.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $78,000.00 per year

Benefits:

Schedule:
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• No nights
• No weekends
