About the position

Land Conservation Crew Members, referred to as Corpsmembers, play a vital role in environmental stewardship projects across the Southern Front Range region. This position is part of the AmeriCorps national community service program, which emphasizes community engagement and environmental conservation. Corpsmembers will receive comprehensive hands-on training for all projects, ensuring that no prior experience is necessary. The term for this position runs from September 3, 2024, to November 8, 2024, providing an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to contribute to their community while gaining valuable skills and experience in land conservation. Throughout their service, Corpsmembers will engage in various environmental projects that may include habitat restoration, trail maintenance, and other conservation efforts. Responsibilities
• Participate in environmental stewardship projects throughout the Southern Front Range region.

• Engage in habitat restoration and trail maintenance activities.

• Work collaboratively with team members to complete project goals.

• Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality throughout the term of service.

• Complete all required training and adhere to safety protocols.

Requirements
• Must pass a pre-service National Service Criminal History Check.

• Must not engage in any prohibited activities as listed in the AmeriCorps Member Service Agreement.

• Must be physically fit and able to lift 50 lbs.

• Must be able to spend 8-10 hours a day in various weather conditions.

• Must be able to hike up to 7 miles with a day-pack.

• Must commit to completing the program.

Nice-to-haves
• Ages between 18-24.

• High school diploma or GED/HSE graduate or currently enrolled in high school.
