Candidates should have experience in stakeholder engagement and qualifications in property or legal fields. The position is full-time, offers flexible work arrangements, and requires travel across Tasmania and potentially interstate.
About The Role

At TasNetworks, we’re looking for a Land Access and Approvals Manager to assist in the delivery of our land access strategy, to secure the land and property we need to deliver key projects — from day-to-day upgrades to major transmission developments.

In this role, you’ll support land access and easement acquisition for network projects, working directly with landowners, consultants, and internal teams. You’ll manage negotiations, prepare legal and property documents, and help ensure that our network assets are protected for the long term.

Other Duties Of The Role Include
• Engage and negotiate with landholders for land access and easement agreements
• Prepare and lodge documentation to register easements and manage property transactions
• Provide advice on property and land access matters to project teams
• Conduct due diligence, perform searches, and manage contract and database records
• Support reviews of legal documents and draft standard forms and correspondence
• Maintain a continuous improvement focus to ensure compliance with relevant laws
• Understand the broader impact of projects on landowners, communities and the environment

About You

You will bring demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement, drawing upon your excellent communication and negotiation skills to build and maintain effective business relationships.

You will hold a qualification (and/or experience) in property, surveying or legal fields, having worked in a similar role with experience in land access, easements, and property transactions (ideally within utilities or infrastructure with knowledge of the energy industry).

You will promote a thorough understanding of easement legislation and experience with Tasmanian systems like LIST, with experience managing projects, contracts, and working with external consultants.

Your ability to provide technical solutions, resolve issues, and work proactively in a fast paced, accountable environment will see you succeed in this role.

As this is a Statewide role you will be willing to travel across Tasmania (and interstate) as needed.

If you are looking to work on meaningful projects that shape Tasmania’s energy future, submit your application today!
