Labourer - Solar Installer - Apprentice Electrician

Empower Energy Corp. is seeking Labourers or Apprentice Electricians for their Grande Prairie, AB team. The role involves solar installation, working at heights, and ensuring safety. Candidates should be self-starters with strong communication skills and a passion for renewable energy. The position offers full-time work with a pay range of CA$20-$25 per hour and benefits after three months. Training in safety protocols is a plus.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: We are looking for experienced laborers or apprentice electricians to become part of our Grande Prairie team. The individual should enjoy physical labour with a desire to serve others, self starter with enthusiasm for a career in renewable energy and be passionate about creating positive change.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Solar installation including racking install and carrying solar modules
• Carry solar modules up ladders, working at heights and on steep roofs
• Participate in company safety
• Utilize and care for company vehicles and equipment

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experienced working at heights
• Self-starter and able to work alone or as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proven organizational skills, including a high degree of attention to details
• A strong ability to problem solve individually and as a team
• Able to efficiently follow manuals and instructions for equipment installation
• Capable of climbing a ladder with heavy loads
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and away from home at times
• Current safety training such as first aid, fall arrest, and AWP would be an asset
