Laborer (Ecological Restoration)

Resource Environmental Solutions is hiring a full-time Laborer I or II in Athens, GA, requiring prior construction or landscape experience. The role involves supporting Machine Operators in stream and wetland construction, including tasks like seeding and erosion control. Candidates must be willing to travel throughout Tennessee and Georgia and occasionally lift 70 pounds. Experience with engineered blueprints and outdoor construction is preferred.
About the position

RES is accepting applications for a full-time Laborer I or II with prior construction and/or landscape experience. This position will require full-time travel throughout the Tennessee and Georgia area. The mission: The Laborer I or II will provide on the ground support to Machine Operators, allowing Operators to maximize their productivity during stream and wetland construction on linear footage. Additionally, the Laborer I or II will allow Construction Oversight to focus on shooting grade and taking as built points.

Responsibilities
• Primary job is seeding, mulching, and installing erosion control matting
,
• Work with construction crews on manual labor activities to support overall project
,
• Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment
,
• Clean equipment and report any service related concerns promptly to supervisor
,
• Maintain a positive working relationship with customers and co-workers
,
• Opportunity to learn heavy equipment operations

Requirements
• Previous experience in outdoor construction
,
• Experience and understanding of engineered blue print drawings & specifications
,
• Must be willing and able to travel overnight and work at assigned project locations weekly
,
• Willingness & ability to occasionally lift 70 pounds
,
• Experience as a Laborer on Stream Restoration and/or Wetland construction projects preferred
