Laboratory Technician

Location: Newcastle

Salary: £25,000

CY Partners have an exciting opportunity to join a North East based Polymer Manufacturer as a Laboratory Technician.

Working as a Lab Tech you will be responsible for supporting the development and testing of products, this includes testing of materials and assisting in the creation of new products.

Responsibilities:
• Carry out material testing including heat stability and rheological testing.
• Assist with trials and new product development, providing technical support to R&D.
• Maintain accurate records of test results and prepare detailed reports.
• Ensure lab equipment is maintained and calibrated for reliable and consistent test results
• Assist in the evaluation of raw materials, suppliers and vendors to ensure compliance with quality standards, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability requirements.

Requirements:
• A BSc in Chemistry (or similar) or relevant industry experience.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Good organisational and documentation skills.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
