Laboratory Technician

Ninyo & Moore Geotechnical and Environmental Sciences Consultants is hiring a full-time Laboratory Technician in Las Vegas, NV. The role involves testing construction materials like soils, concrete, and aggregates. Candidates should have certifications in NAQTC and ACI Strength, with knowledge of standard testing methods. Strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to lift 25 pounds are required. A degree is not necessary, but relevant certifications are preferred.
NOTE: T his is not an environmental, medical, or science lab. It is a construction materials lab so we need you to have the certifications listed or an interest in working on construction materials testing, not a science degree or clean lab experience (this is a dirty lab).

Job Description: Ninyo & Moore Geotechnical & Environmental Consultants has an immediate opening for a Concrete/Soils/Aggregate Laboratory Technician in Las Vegas, Nevada. Experience in laboratory testing for soils, concrete, aggregate and/or asphalt, along with certification in NAQTC and ACI Strength is desired. The successful candidate will have knowledge regarding the standard laboratory test methods including proctors, sieves, Atterberg Limits, Compression, Sampling, and splitting of samples.

Qualification: The ideal candidate will have ATTI/ASTM/AASHTO, NAQTC and a current ACI certification. ACI Concrete Strength, ACI Aggregates, ACI Masonry Laboratory Testing Technician, and NAQTC Sampling Density certifications or any combination thereof preferred. Will consider a trainee with a desire to work in the construction materials testing industry.

Required Skills: Candidate should have excellent mathematical, computer, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, positive attitude, good organizational skills, and a strong work ethic. Must have a current valid driver's license and the ability to lift 25 pounds repeatedly as part of the daily duties.
