Job Description

Tata Harper Skincare is seeking a full-time Laboratory Technician in Whiting, VT, to support formulation development of natural skincare products. Responsibilities include conducting bench trials, testing raw materials, maintaining records, and managing laboratory supplies. Candidates should have an associate degree in basic science or relevant experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Job Summary:

The R&D Laboratory Technician supports all aspects of formulation spanning new development, reformulation, and innovation to assist in the creation of complex natural skincare products.

Principal Accountabilities:
• Support senior staff initiatives by performing bench trials, physical evaluations, raw material testing, data collection, and data entry.
• Assist senior staff with preparation / execution of pilot batches and product scale-up batches by gathering data to support in-process parameters and finished product specifications.
• Maintain clear and accurate records of experiments, formulations, procedures, and observations.
• Adhere to project timelines and update systems to reflect the current project status of assigned tasks.
• Execute stability studies on formulations, record results, report findings, and prepare formula stability documentation for approval.
• Work with raw material vendors to collect and organize ingredient validation documentation.
• Review raw material documentation to confirm compliance with company standards, certifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain the raw material database and raw material shared drive.
• Manage experimental raw material replenishment as required.
• Procure, maintain, and organize experimental raw material samples as required.
• Manage and maintain laboratory supply inventory.
• Maintain laboratory organization and cleanliness, clean laboratory instruments and restock laboratory supplies as needed.
• Ensure laboratory equipment and instruments are calibrated and in good working order.
• Create and maintain standard operating procedures as required.
• Provide administrative support for the Research and Development and Regulatory departments.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualification and Experience:
• Associate degree in basic science or 1-3 years of relevant work experience
• Experience working in a laboratory environment.

Skill Sets:
• Strong interpersonal communication
• Ability to work as part of functional and cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Docs
