Green Growth Group is hiring a Kitchen Associate: Edible and Food Preparer in Mt Vernon, IL. The role involves producing edible batches, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with cannabis regulations. GGG- Green Growth Group, a division of MariMed Inc. is seeking Edible and Food Preparers at our Cannabis cultivation, production and processing facility in Illinois!

SUMMARY: The Edible and Food Preparer executes company objectives by producing edible batches, completing inventory counts, processing product, real time weight reporting, supply inventory management, and following compliance that adheres to the regulations established by the Illinois Cannabis Regulation and Tax Act and the Illinois Compassionate Use of Medical Cannabis Program.

Responsibilities
• Knowledge of portions, recipes, cooking and preparation methods along with other possible alterations required to produce edibles and products that meet company, state, and federal standards.
• Adhere to all regulations for sanitation, food handling, and storage, which includes proper food storage and security of food storage areas as well as related equipment.
• Maintain dishwashing station, sink, and related areas in accordance with regulations, in addition to keeping temperature logs, and other various reports and forms to document cleaning schedule, spillages, product damage, etc.
• Must be able to work well with others, quickly and effectively under pressure.
• Maintain and closely track inventory of ingredients and supplies.
• Meet all performance metrics assigned by Kitchen supervisor.
• Operate edible manufacturing equipment including but not limited to: fire mixers, sugar pullers, depositors, tablet press, stick pack machine, oven, roper/sizers, cookers, sifters, and wrapping equipment.
• Follow standard operating procedures for department.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous employment in a kitchen environment preferred
• General knowledge of cannabis
• Flexibility to pivot on tasks as directed
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check and qualify to work in the Cannabis industry
• General knowledge of cannabis
• Ability to learn quickly and interest in learning new technologies
• Ability to lift 75 lbs and stand for long periods of time
• Must be punctual, dependable and have reliable transportation
• Able to follow directions and ask questions as needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
