Job Description

Attero is seeking a Junior Sustainability Specialist in Noida, India, to support sustainable practices across its operations. Responsibilities include developing sustainability initiatives, conducting environmental assessments, and promoting awareness. The role requires strong analytical skills, effective communication, and collaboration with teams. A bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related fields is required, along with 1-2 years of relevant experience. This position is full-time and not remote.
As an Associate – Sustainability Specialist, you will support Attero in integrating sustainable practices across its operations and initiatives. Your role will focus on assisting in the implementation of sustainability strategies, monitoring environmental performance, and promoting awareness within the organization. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you will help identify opportunities for improvement, ensure compliance with sustainability standards, and contribute to the company’s efforts in reducing its environmental impact.

Key Responsibilities
• Assist in developing and executing sustainability initiatives that align with organizational objectives
• Conduct environmental assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement in resource usage and waste management
• Support teams across departments in adopting sustainable practices in daily operations
• Collect, analyze, and report data on energy consumption, water usage, waste generation, and carbon emissions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement sustainable solutions in energy efficiency, waste reduction, and supply chain practices
• .Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and advancements in sustainability technologies.
• Support employee training sessions and workshops on sustainability practices and standards
• Prepare detailed reports on sustainability progress and initiatives for internal and external stakeholders
• Engage with external partners, such as suppliers and community organizations, to support sustainability collaborations
• Contribute to developing sustainability metrics and monitoring organizational progress against key performance indicators (KPIs)

Skills and Competencies
• Basic understanding of sustainability principles and environmental management practice
• Strong analytical skills for data collection, interpretation, and reporting
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholder
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional team
• Detail-oriented with good organizational and time-management skill
• Knowledge of sustainability software and tools is an advantage
• Passion for environmental sustainability and a commitment to fostering responsible practice

Qualification
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field (Master’s preferred but not mandator
• 1–2 years of experience in sustainability, environmental management, or a related domain.
• Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks such as GRI, SASB, or similar standard.
• Basic knowledge of environmental audits, lifecycle assessments (LCA), and carbon footprint analysis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with data analysis tools is a pl
