Junior Network Planner - Operational Focus

FlixBus is seeking a Junior Network Planner in Gurugram, India, to design and optimize their bus network. The role involves planning routes, coordinating operations, and analyzing data to enhance transportation efficiency. Candidates should have a relevant degree and 1-3 years of experience. The position follows a hybrid model, requiring three days in the office per week, but allows up to 30 days of remote work annually.

As a Junior Network Planner with focus on Operational planning tasks, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development of our transportation network. Your team is based in Gurugram and Berlin, and you will also collaborate with local business development, revenue management, operations departments, to create an efficient and customer-centric network.

The position is based in our Gurugram, following a hybrid working model (3 times per week in office).

Your Tasks – Paint the world green
• You plan our FlixBus routes in collaboration with our business partners, commercials, and our experienced local teams to develop our network.
• You coordinate the interactions on your allocated bus line portfolio with the other teams to ensure smooth processes (e.g. line starts and operational requests)
• You communicate with our business partners to handle our operative demand.
• You present ideas as well as figures in an informative and relevant way to update your team members
• You base your decisions on quantitative analyses and derive conclusions and observations from a variety of data sets to make informed decisions.
• Be a driving force in the growth of FlixBus in India, shaping the future of transportation with innovation and enthusiasm.

Your Profile – Ready to hop on board
• Bachelor’s/master’s degree in transportation management, geography, spatial planning, transportation engineering, mathematics economics or in a related field of study.
• 1-3 years of experience in fast-paced business-driven environments.
• Socio-geographical knowledge of the transport markets in India.
• Experience in network planning, transportation planning or in the mobility sector is a big plus.
• Strong analysis and modelling abilities to solve complex problems in a rational way.
• Organized and autonomous, have a team and customer-oriented working style and consider yourself a travel enthusiast with a proactive attitude towards challenges.
• You can use MS Office applications with routine.
