Job Description

DNV Germany Holding GmbH is hiring a Junior Greenhouse Gases Verifier in London, UK, focusing on marine CO2 reporting regulations and digital verification methods. The role involves verifying data quality, reviewing technical documentation, and collaborating with international teams. We are seeking a candidate who is in the early and entry stage of their career, open to learning about marine CO2 reporting regulations, verifier’s role, and digital methods of verifying CO2 emissions.
In this role, you will have a direct impact on reducing carbon emissions and contributing to a greener future, participating in significant projects.
You will manage and check that the data reported by our clients meets the quality standards, communicating with them on feedback, working with the internal production system and verification tools.
Verify data quality from clients' documents (monitoring plans, emission reports, fuel oil consumption reports).
Review technical documentation for various vessel types.
Monitor and verify vessel activity.
Collaborate with international technical departments within DNV.
Work with international regulations.
Collaborate with ship owners worldwide.
Contribute to developing digital verification tools.
Assist with internal and external administrative systems for reporting (IMO DCS, EU MRV, ETS).
Drive the digitalization of customer documents (SEEMP Part III, EEXI technical files, CII calculations).
Provide support to customers in understanding processes and navigating systems.

To maximize your chances, you need:
Engineering Bachelor's/Master's degree or engineering student in the following or similar field of study: naval architecture, mechanical engineering, nautical, environmental technologies, or data analytics available for full-time work.
Fluency in English is mandatory (both written and verbal). English is our official communication language.
Attention to detail and solution-oriented approach to deliver accurate and fast solutions to our customers.
Nice to have:
Greenhouse Gases and MARPOL Annex VI knowledge.
Understanding of ship hydrodynamics.
Power plant knowledge.
Ship or ship systems knowledge both operational and technical.
Working knowledge of MS Office tools. We provide extensive training as well if you need it.
Keen interest in greenhouse gas emissions and the maritime sector.
