Job Description

Intrax Consulting Group is seeking a Junior Energy Consultant in Perth, WA, to conduct energy efficiency assessments for residential buildings. Responsibilities include thermal modeling, compliance checks, and developing energy-efficient solutions. Intrax Consulting Engineers are an Australian owned, mid-sized engineering company that provide an end-to-end service to our clients across a range of services including Structural, Civil, Residential, Building Services, Energy Assessments, Forensic, Surveying and Geotechnical Engineering.

The Intrax Housing Division has built its success by inspiring volume builders to confidently build more innovative and affordable homes for Australian families and we have the unique opportunity to join our team as a Junior Energy Consultant to join our talented and growing team, to deliver comprehensive Energy Efficiency assessments for residential building designs to our national clients.

Your role will include, but will not be limited to:
• Conducting Energy Efficiency assessments, thermal modelling and compliance checks for a wide range of residential building designs nationally.
• Develop skills to identify energy-efficient solutions for our clients’ projects.
• Participate in training to keep up to date with Australian building codes and Energy Efficiency regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of assessments, reports, and compliance documentation.
• Analyse building plans and specifications to identify energy efficiency opportunities and recommend improvements.
• Prepare and deliver detailed reports on energy performance, including recommendations for upgrades or modifications.

You Will Need To Have
• General understanding of the principles of energy efficiency and sustainability.
• Ability to read and understand residential architectural drawings and associated documentation
• Developing skills to complete NatHERS assessments in FR5 and Basix
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Good communication skills
