Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Junior Buyer with 4-5 years of experience, preferably in the solar industry, to join our procurement team.

Key Responsibilities:

Logistics Procurement & Vendor Management:
• Manage procurement of solar cells, modules, and associated BOM materials.
• Handle logistics procurement and contracts for Customs House Agents (CHA), shipping liners, freight forwarders, transporters, and CFS (Container Freight Stations).

Import Operations:
• Manage the import of BOM materials, preferably from China and ASEAN countries.
• Ensure smooth import and export operations, ensuring compliance with all EXIM requirements and regulations.

Contract Management:
• Finalize contracts for warehouse services and related service providers.
• Prepare RFQ/Bid documents based on Scope of Work, timelines, SLAs, GCC, SCC, and other relevant forms.
• Lead bid analysis, negotiate terms with vendors, and ensure successful closure of contract deviations.

Procurement Policies & Procedures:
• Implement and adhere to procurement policies and procedures, ensuring best practices in all procurement activities.

Negotiation & Stakeholder Management:
• Demonstrate strong negotiation skills and a proven track record of securing favorable terms with suppliers and service providers.
• Conduct meetings with vendors to close deviations and finalize the terms and conditions of agreements.

Multi-modal Transportation & EXIM Knowledge:
• Possess in-depth knowledge of shipping agencies, EXIM operations, domestic pan-India transportation, and multi-modal services.

Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for reporting, presentations, and analysis.

Qualifications & Skills:
• 4-5 years of experience in logistics procurement, preferably in the solar industry.
• Proven experience with the import of BOM materials from China and ASEAN countries.
• Strong knowledge of EXIM operations, customs procedures, and multi-modal logistics.
• Experience in preparing RFQs, Bids, and vendor negotiations.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to take on new responsibilities and manage multiple tasks effectively.
