Solar Alternatives is hiring a full-time Journeyman Electrician in New Orleans, LA. The role involves safe and efficient electrical installations, mentoring crew members, and supporting solar power systems operations. Candidates should have at least 4 years of experience, strong leadership skills, and be willing to work 40-50+ hours per week. Solar Alternatives is seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team and contribute to our mission of providing energy independence solutions. In this role, you'll support our expanding operations in North Louisiana, ensuring safe and efficient electrical installations while enhancing our clients' energy savings. This is an hourly position with the potential for a quarterly performance bonus.

Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and apply electrical codes, standards, and best practices
- Lead and mentor crew members in hands-on electrical work
- Conduct installation and maintenance of solar power systems, generators, and other energy solutions
- Perform troubleshooting and repairs, ensuring reliable service
- Document and report on project statuses, including site photos and assessments
- Collaborate with teams to meet production goals efficiently
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Journeyman or Master Electrician with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Reliable transportation with a clean driving record
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Willingness to work 40-50+ hours per week, including weekends if necessary
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in solar or generator installation
- Familiarity with project management software
- OSHA training (30-hour) or other relevant safety certifications
- Trade school or college education in a relevant field
