IT Support Specialist - 3 month contract

Svante is seeking an IT Support Specialist for a 3-month contract in Burnaby, BC. Purpose of the role:

You will have commitment to be hands-on, participate in, and encourage engagement in continuous improvement activities. You will be interested in technology enablement of manufacturing processes and/or automation initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
• You have solid knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365 and SharePoint, Azure services, networking (VLAN, routing and switching), and other technical systems.
• You bring excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis.
• You have a diploma or bachelor’s degree in IT-related field or an equivalent combination and experience

Bonus Skills and Qualifications:
• You have experience in technical support or related field.
• You have experience with CompTIA A+, MSCA, AZ-104 or equivalent.

What success looks like in this role:
• You will learn and apply IT support and service desk skills based on ITIL best practices.
• You will investigate technical issues, perform root cause analysis, develop a corrective and preventative actions to address, and apply necessary fixes to end users, infrastructure, and procedures.
• You will improve your knowledge and apply your experience for IT infrastructure, Cyber Security server administration, network administration, backup systems and disaster recovery solutions
