Hawaiian Electric is seeking an IT Infrastructure Analyst for their Kīhei, HI location. The role involves planning, installing, maintaining, and optimizing IT systems, providing technical support, and leading projects. Position level: Professional. Location options include Oahu, Maui, or Hawai'i Island.ResponsibilitiesPlan, coordinate, install, maintain, optimize, and enhance the distributed computing environment, including server/desktop operating systems, network infrastructure, voice and data communication systems.Provide level two technical support to the department and user community.Lead smaller project teams and collaborate with project managers on larger enterprise projects.Document decisions, processes and procedures, and use business software tools to communicate work products to co-workers and the user community.Research and upgrade personal skills to stay current with industry best practices and new technology; present to technical and non-technical audiences.Participate in Company emergency response activities as assigned.Essential FunctionsPlan, research, and direct the installation, configuration, maintenance, operation, and optimization of IT systems and services (Windows, Unix servers; LAN/WAN; desktop applications; storage and supporting infrastructure). Integrate networks to create a seamless environment.Serve as primary support for the listed systems to meet service agreements; perform patching, maintenance, inventory/capacity management, monitoring, and event resolution; provide after-hours support as needed.Collaborate with internal customers to develop solutions within an enterprise computing framework, including hardware, software, and processes.Upgrade skills and share knowledge; deliver presentations to diverse audiences.Lead or participate in enterprise projects, coordinating with project management as required.Document and communicate decisions and procedures to stakeholders.Qualifications Basic QualificationsThorough knowledge of information technology and office technology principles (college-level or equivalent experience).Thorough knowledge of data and telecommunications hardware, software, and network configurations.Thorough knowledge of PC and technical workstation software.Working knowledge of Windows and UNIX network operating systems.Working knowledge of Cisco networking concepts and operations.Field of specialty such as networking, desktop computing, server computing, enterprise storage management, or telephony/business communication systems.Preferred: experience with SCCM, MDT/OSD, AppV, RDS/Terminal Services, MDM, VDI, A/D GPOs, Print management, VTC, Endpoint Security, SCORCH, VBScript, Power Shell.SkillsFlexibility in a demanding environment with changing priorities.Leadership and ability to work with diverse individuals, including handling sensitive or difficult issues.Effective verbal and written communication across all levels of the organization.Strong interpersonal skills to influence and persuade groups or individuals.Analytical, organizational, and conceptual abilities to manage multiple projects.ExperienceSeveral years (3-5) of experience with data and telecommunications hardware and network installation, administration and troubleshooting.1-3 years of experience in an enterprise computing environment with modern IT practices.1-3 years of project management experience.Role detailsRole: ProfessionalNumber of Vacancies: 1Location: Oahu, Maui, or Hawai'i IslandHiring Range: $78,000.00 to $99,600.00; placement based on skills and qualifications.EEO & Affiliate InformationHawaiian Electric Companies is an equal opportunity employer, including disability and protected veteran status.
