Job Description

The IT Development Manager at Climate Pros LLC in Glendale Heights, IL, leads a team in developing and maintaining business and technical systems. Responsibilities include guiding software engineers, managing projects, and ensuring timely delivery within budget. The role requires experience in software development life cycles and collaboration with internal customers. The position is full-time, and physical presence may be needed for customer site visits.
Job summary

The IT Development Manager position is to lead a team in the development, implementation and maintenance of business and technical systems. This role is accountable for the evaluation and implementation of standards and procedures, which support the enterprise's application infrastructure. The manager directs developers involved in the analysis, design and development of large scale applications. Interacts directly with the client and support team members across the IT organization. Ensures projects/programs are completed within the committed time and budget and are integrated with other software applications.

Duties and responsibilities
• Develop, manage and prepare best software development team.
• Guide, coach and mentor software development engineers.
• Provide project management and technical leadership for every aspect of software.
• Develop relations with internal customers to interpret all requirements.
• Supervise resource allocation to assure attainment of apt business and personnel development goals.
• Manage and execute software development projects from beginning to finish.
• Evaluate projects, develop and update schedules plus supervise project status.
• Collaborate effectively with all team members as well as hold regular team meetings.

Experience and education
• Superior experience in both desktop and web based software development leveraging newer trends.
• Experience with specific phases of the software development life cycle including requirements gathering, requirements analysis, design, development, and test.
• Expert understanding of programming theory, object-oriented analysis and design, design patterns, etc.
• Possess clear understanding of SDLC and other industry standard development practices
• Experience in application development, multiple major project delivering of med-large scale projects/programs.

Regularly required to sit; occasionally required to stand; walk; occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; noise level is usually quiet. All employees may be required to visit a customer site and/or complete a ride along with a field technician as part of their employment.
