This is an exciting opportunity to join a great growth debt firm specialising in technology companies.
Within their investment team, the VP will be working with the associates and liaising with the partners to execute live transactions, including structuring the transaction, negotiating and executing term sheets, leading due diligence, negotiating legal documentation and overseeing the credit risk monitoring of the position post investment. Origination with venture capital funds and building relationships and industry knowledge will also be key areas of focus.
This role has excellent exposure, working with the deal team, the fund partners as well as the senior management within the portfolio companies.
You will be expected to help in the professional development of the associates who will support you on transactions and monitoring.
Skills:
• Experience in debt capital markets, preferably with a focus on venture debt.
• Highly numerate, detail-oriented and methodical in prioritising work.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and communicate effectively internally and externally focus on achieving outcomes in a timely manner.
• Lead deals from end to end (structuring, underwriting, pricing, closing)
• Engage and build relationships with companies C-suite and investors. Able to lead negotiations.
• Desire to work in an entrepreneurial environment.
• Support and develop Associates and ensure proper resource allocation across portfolio and pipeline.
• Ability to work with discretion when dealing with confidential information.
