The Investment Manager at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota will oversee enterprise investment portfolios, focusing on strategic asset allocation, performance management, and liquidity. How Is This Role Important to Our Work?

The Investment Manager will support leadership in all aspects of enterprise investment portfolios. Key responsibilities include strategic asset allocation recommendations, financial market assessment, investment performance management, and liquidity management across the enterprise.

A Day in the Life:
• Manage daily investment portfolio trade activity to ensure maximum risk-adjusted returns.
• Develop asset allocation strategies for corporate portfolios, pension plans, and other non-qualified benefit assets.
• Implement investment strategies to increase returns within approved parameters.
• Participate in investment portfolio management to identify performance gaps and risks.
• Assist with Treasury partnership to ensure liquidity needs are met.
• Inform leadership about current economic trends affecting business decisions.
• Develop proactive analysis and solutions to support enterprise strategies.
• Manage analytics, peer comparisons, management reporting, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Develop forecasts and budgets, and manage work accordingly.
• Exemplify fiduciary stewardship over financial assets.
• Support the Investment Director on other initiatives.
• Manage and develop a diverse talent pool by promoting diversity of thought and team engagement.

Nice to Have:
• Bachelor's degree.
• MBA or advanced degree in Finance or related field.
• CFA, CTP, CPA, JD, FRM, and/or CRMP certification.
• Demonstrated expertise in financial and insurance industries.

Required Skills and Experiences:
• 7+ years of related professional experience.
• 1+ years of leadership or project lead experience.
• Expert knowledge of financial markets, enterprise treasury, investments, and risk management.
• Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Advanced knowledge of banking and investment legal and regulatory environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional organizational and time management ability.
• Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Broad knowledge of NAIC, SEC, and IRS rules and regulations.
• Ability to interact effectively with internal and external customers.
• Requires strong computer skills in Bloomberg Analytics, FactSet, TMS systems, and Microsoft Access, Excel, and Word.

Role Designation:

Hybrid Remote

Teleworking is working full-time remote. Hybrid is a combination of working onsite and remotely. Onsite is full-time onsite.
