Investment Associate - Private Credit Fund

Platinum Pacific Partners is seeking an Investment Associate for their Private Credit Fund in Sydney, NSW. The role involves working on complex credit deals across various sectors, focusing on senior secured and mezzanine investments. Candidates should have up to 5 years of experience in investing or investment banking, with strong financial modeling skills. The position emphasizes autonomy within a dynamic team culture.

Our client is a private credit fund that has USD$3 billion of funds under management operating out of 3 offices across APAC. Whilst deals are sector agnostic, current portfolio positions exist within the resources, mining, oil and gas, mining services, real estate and general corporate sectors. The investment team focuses on credit deals that are primarily senior secured and mezzanine with equity upside, with ticket sizes ranging from $50-200 million. With strong institutional capital pools, the investment team is responsible for deal execution, origination and active portfolio management.

They are looking for an investment team member who can operate with a high level of autonomy in a flat organisational structure. The ideal candidate will have up to 5 years of experience, ideally in investing (debt or equity), or in investment banking with strong financial modelling skills (experience with documentation will be an advantage for the role). There is a preference for candidates with exposure to natural resources, however, we are open to a wide variety of industry sectors for this role.
