Native Habitat Restoration seeks an Invasive Plant Control Technician in Stockbridge, MA. As an Invasive Plant Control Technician, you play a vital role in the success of our company. Our technicians are responsible for bringing our client’s vision to life. We are looking for someone who wants to make a difference, is up for the challenge of working outside in adverse conditions and appreciates the process of change.

Our team of technicians are self-motivated people with a willingness to learn, who can take direction when it is given and make informed decisions when needed. The job requires our team to adapt as the weather and the work develops or changes and make smart choices in sometimes challenging situations. We operate as a team so we are looking for someone who can work well with others but can work on their own if need be.

As a technician, your responsibilities include

· Following daily work orders

· Having the necessary equipment, PPE, and materials for each job site

· Accurately identifying invasive species

· Applying wetland approved herbicides

· Operation and maintenance of equipment such as backpack sprayers, ATVs and trailers, brush cutters, and chain saws

· Clearly communicate what was accomplished each day

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

· Experience using equipment such as brush cutters, chain saws, loading and towing trailers, ATVS, and skid steers

· Experience applying herbicides / pesticides or an ability to obtain Pesticide Applicator license

· Ability and comfort-ability hiking in adverse conditions

· Heavy lifting

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
