RTX is seeking a Summer 2025 Environmental Health & Safety Compliance Intern for a hybrid role based in East Hartford, CT. Responsibilities include supporting the Environmental Compliance team, developing site profiles, reviewing permits, assisting in audits, and creating presentations. Candidates must be enrolled in a relevant degree program and preferably have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. The position involves both onsite and offsite work.

What You Will Do
• Support the Environmental Compliance team in a hybrid role. The onsite office will be located at our East Hartford facility.
• Aid in the development of P&W Site profiles and EH&S legal registers as required per our EH&S Management System and maintained in our EH&S software/database management system (EHS SMART).
• Review P&W Site EH&S permits and associated Compliance Tasks to ensure all permit requirements and time bound reporting obligations are properly identified and current in EHS SMART.
• Assist in the development of a P&W Environmental Compliance Playbook.
• Assist in internal audits/reviews and EH&S program evaluations.
• Develop presentations for Compliance Program report-outs and operations meetings.

Qualifications You Must Have
• Enrolled in a degree program in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or similar.

Qualifications We Prefer
• Minimum GPA of 3.0

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
