About the position

The Intern position in Environment & Sustainability at Volvo Group focuses on evaluating and enhancing CO2 reduction initiatives within the transport sector. The role involves data analysis, documentation of opportunity scenarios, and research into green energy solutions, contributing to sustainable transport and infrastructure solutions for the future.

Responsibilities
• Evaluate already implemented CO2 reduction initiatives and determine CO2 offset achieved.

• Document various opportunity scenarios, model changes, and estimate potential CO2 reduction from each one.
,
• Support in determining the best IT solution to consolidate current manual query/reporting structure for EHS, including CO2 reduction data tracking.
,
• Research available green energy solutions for the NRV plant area and provide input on options for consideration.

Requirements
• Currently enrolled and pursuing a degree in Environmental or Electrical Engineering at an accredited school.

• Completed 30 semester hours prior to the start of the internship.

• Minimum GPA of 2.75.
,
• Strong data analysis and analytical skills.
,
• Understanding of energy utilization measurements, conversion, and comparison.

• Documentation skills and ability to model various opportunity simulations.
