About this Role
LeapFrog Investments is seeking a dynamic intern to assist in driving key climate initiatives. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in implementing best practices to meet LeapFrog’s sustainability targets and reduce its carbon footprint. This includes integrating global climate best practices into the firm’s private equity impact strategies. Additionally, the intern will conduct in-depth research into climate trends, decarbonization strategies, and private equity sector developments to ensure comprehensive alignment with industry standards. To support these objectives, the intern will develop a rigorous climate action plan and gather data across LeapFrog’s portfolio to identify high-impact opportunities. The role involves overseeing the collection of financial and operational data to quantify greenhouse gas emissions, establishing a science-based pathway for setting targets.
Responsibilities
• Audit and review climate-related data within portfolio companies.
• Collaborate with Finance and Impact teams to quantify GHG footprint.
• Advance the climate action plan to ensure progress towards objectives.
• Identify value-creation opportunities through benchmarking.
Requirements
• 3-5 years of consulting experience in climate or sustainability fields.
• Expertise in sustainability initiatives, GHG Protocol, and decarbonization.
• Knowledge of climate risk mitigation for private equity.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong project management skills.
• Master’s degree preferred.
