Job Description
• Req#: . Serves as the Wildlife and Fisheries Program Manager responsible for planning, coordinating, programming, and directing activities related to wildlife and fisheries resources management in the Intermountain Region, Region 4.

Duties
• Develop wildlife and fisheries management plans, habitat management plans, and oversee aquatic resource protection.
• Inspect habitat projects for compliance and recommend improvements.
• Design studies for habitat and population monitoring to ensure habitat and species maintenance.
• Plan habitat management programs focusing on biodiversity conservation.
• Review plans for technical accuracy and alignment with management objectives.
• Translate policies into regional programs and guidance.
• Participate in interdisciplinary planning teams (IDT).
Requirements
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
• Male applicants born after 12/31/1959 must be registered with Selective Service or be exempt.

• Complete a one-year probationary period unless previously served.
• Federal payments via direct deposit are required.
• Pass the E-Verify employment verification.
Qualifications

Basic Requirements:
Fish Biology Series GS-0482
• Degree in Biological Science with at least 6 semester hours in aquatic subjects and 12 in animal sciences.
Wildlife Biology Series GS-0486
• Degree in Biological Science with at least 9 semester hours in wildlife subjects, 12 in zoology, and 9 in botany or related sciences.

Alternative qualifications include a combination of education and experience as detailed in the original description.

Specialized Experience Requirements:

GS-11 and GS-12 levels require specific experience in wildlife or fishery program development, analysis, and oversight, as detailed in the original description.

Volunteer work and unpaid experience are credited if documented properly, including details like dates, hours, duties, and titles.
