GridStor is hiring an Interconnection Manager in Portland, OR, to oversee interconnection projects for large energy storage systems. Responsibilities include managing interconnection processes, stakeholder coordination, asset siting, project due diligence, and team leadership. We acquire and develop battery storage projects in North America markets.

Job Summary:

GridStor seeks an experienced Manager, Transmission and Interconnection.
• The successful candidate will oversee and manage projects related to the interconnection of large stand-alone energy storage systems.
Main Responsibilities:
• Interconnection Management: Oversee the preparation, submission, and process to interconnect stand-alone energy storage assets in ERCOT stages 1, 2, and 3 and throughout SPP's DISIS process.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with external stakeholders, including consultants, utilities, and regulatory agencies, to ensure compliance with regulations and facilitate smooth project execution.
• Asset Siting: In-depth knowledge of power system planning software and tools to oversee studies, analyze data, and make informed decisions regarding transmission and interconnection projects.
• Project Due Diligence: Collaborate in the due diligence stage for project acquisitions across ERCOT and SPP.
• Team Leadership: Lead and manage a small internal or external team, providing guidance, support, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Reporting: Generate and present project status reports to senior management and stakeholders as needed.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, master's in power systems a plus.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience working with utilities, system operators, energy consulting firms, or independent power producers.
• Strong knowledge of ERCOT and/or SPP grids, interconnection process, stakeholders, and regulations.
Location & Availability:
• Preferring to be based in Portland, OR and available to work a hybrid schedule.
