About the position

As an Interconnection Engineer at Spencer Ogden, you will be instrumental in advancing our renewable energy initiatives by ensuring the effective integration of renewable power generation into the electrical grid. This role is based in Dallas and requires a collaborative approach, working closely with both internal teams and external stakeholders. Your primary focus will be on navigating the complex regulatory landscape, designing interconnection solutions, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. In this position, you will evaluate the feasibility of interconnections for various renewable energy projects, taking into account both technical and regulatory requirements. Building and maintaining relationships with grid operators, utilities, and regulatory agencies will be crucial for facilitating project approvals and securing interconnection agreements. You will also be responsible for designing interconnection configurations that comply with grid codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations. Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in electrical engineering, specifically in interconnection or power systems engineering.

• Experience in renewable energy project development and familiarity with utility-scale solar or wind projects is highly desirable.
