Oregon State University seeks applicants for fixed-term, non-tenure-track Instructor positions in the Sustainability Double Degree Program for the 2025-2026 academic year. Instructors will teach courses on campus and potentially Ecampus in various sustainability subjects. Applications will be accepted throughout the year as opportunities arise. The program aims to provide undergraduate education in sustainability, offering a Bachelor's degree and a Minor.

Job Summary

The Sustainability Double Degree Program in the College of Agricultural Sciences invites applications for one or more fixed-term, non-tenure-track full/part-time Instructor positions to teach on a term by term basis for the 2025-2026 academic year. Some of these appointments may be reviewed for renewal or transition to an instructional position on an annual basis at the discretion of the Department Head.

Applications will be considered throughout the 2025-2026 academic year as opportunities become available.

Instructors may be needed to teach on campus and Ecampus courses in the following areas: Sustainability Assessment, Social and Economic Dimensions of Sustainability, Environmental, Dimensions of Sustainability, and/or Sustainability Science

The primary mission of the Sustainability Double Degree Program is to provide undergraduate education. The program offers a Bachelor's of Science in Sustainability and a Minor in Sustainability. The curriculum encompasses most standard fields of the discipline.

Key Responsibilities

100% Duties include all responsibilities related to teaching: preparing and presenting course content, lecturing, grading, keeping office hours for one-on-one student assistance and advising.

What You Will Need

MS in Sustainability, Economics, Sociology, Environmental or Related Science

Teaching experience at the college/university level. Evident commitment to educational equity.

What We Would Like You to Have

PhD in Sustainability, Economics, Sociology, Environmental or Related Science

Demonstrated ability to design, teach and assess courses that support inclusive learning principles and promote equitable teaching practices, to the benefit of all learners.

Pay Period: 1st through the last day of the month

Pay Date: Last working day of the month

Recommended Full-Time Salary Range: Salary is commensurate with skills, education and experience
