The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to advance research, technology, and other novel solutions that support the transition to climate-smart and regenerative agriculture. This role requires a visionary leader with a strategic and proactive approach, capable of driving innovation and solving complex challenges. The Director will be a key figure in the organization, serving as an ambassador and building a network of partners, advocates, and leaders in the field. Key responsibilities include strategic grantmaking, partner engagement, and portfolio management, with a focus on creating economic value for U.S. farmers and ranchers. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree (PhD preferred) and at least 10 years' of experience in sustainable agriculture, research, ecosystem service markets, or related fields.
