Job Description

Clark Dietz is seeking an Infrastructure Planning Professional in Champaign, IL. Responsibilities include design tasks for transportation projects, quantity calculations using Bentley's software, and assisting with field data collection. A B.S. in Civil Engineering or a related field is required, along with strong communication skills and teamwork. Previous transportation engineering experience is preferred but not mandatory. The position is full-time.
Role and Responsibilities
• Perform design tasks for transportation improvement projects under the direction of Sr. Engineers.
• Calculate quantities using Bentley's Open Roads Designer and Excel, and develop cost estimates.
• Develop Maintenance of Traffic and culvert/storm sewer hydraulic design calculations.
• Assist with field data collection and construction inspection/documentation as needed.

The ideal candidate will possess a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or a related field and have a strong interest in transportation engineering. Previous experience in transportation engineering is desirable, but not required. Proficiency in Bentley software, including MicroStation and Open Roads Designer, is preferred. Additionally, the ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team is essential.
