As the Industry Director for our mining and minerals Portfolio, you’ll play a pivotal role in leading a defined segment within the resources industry, building a sustainable portfolio, and developing solutions that address complex challenges. You’ll leverage your deep understanding of the market to drive profitable growth while maintaining lasting relationships with our key clients.

Your role will be based in Perth, WA and you will lead the mining and minerals portfolio and work alongside key stakeholders to craft and implement strategies that solve industry challenges. You will have the opportunity to lead in an industry that requires high-level strategic thinking, innovative solutions, and a client-first mentality.
Your Role Will Include
• Leverage your deep industry knowledge and extensive network to nurture a highly visible leadership presence in the market. Develop and sustain long-term, trusted relationships with key clients and industry participants.
• Be responsible for setting and delivering on New Work Secured (NWS) forecasts over 12-month and 5-year horizons, ensuring the continued growth of the mining and minerals portfolio.
• Lead the development and implementation of client-aligned strategies that underpin the NWS forecast, delivering certainty in revenue and backlog. You’ll ensure our solutions are positioned as industry-leading by addressing client needs in innovative and impactful ways.
• Oversee a minimum of one of our priority customer accounts
• Actively contribute to project delivery steering committees, ensuring the successful execution of major projects for high-value clients.
• Drive initiatives to scale our presence in the mining and minerals market, increasing relevance and impact for both our clients and the organisation.
• Leverage feedback from clients and industry participants to foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the business.

We’re Seeking An Industry Leader With a Deep Understanding Of The Resources Sector And Strong, Established Relationships With Top-tier Clients. The Ideal Candidate Will Have
• Extensive experience in the mining and minerals sector, with a deep understanding of industry trends, regulations, competitive landscapes, and client value chains.
• Proven track record of building and nurturing long-term relationships with senior clients in the mining industry, particularly with major players.
• A forward-thinking leader who can develop and execute long-term strategies that set Aurecon apart from competitors.
• Expertise in forecasting, contract formation, negotiation, and strategic pricing to maximise margin while managing value in a competitive landscape.
• A proactive approach to identifying and securing new clients and business opportunities within the resources sector.
• Ability to inspire and lead diverse teams, connecting relationships across Aurecon and to clients, to scale impact and drive results.
• Expertise in developing tailored solutions for client needs and driving innovation that aligns with industry-leading expectations.
• Accountable for activating diverse teams to deliver predictable sales, revenue, and as-bid targets for the business.
